In October tens of thousands of fans of folk music and camping journey to Castelrotto to celebrate with the popular folk group Kastelruther Spatzen. The most successful folk music group in South Tyrol and one of the most popular groups in the German-speaking world, has been performing for over 30 years. Every year they reserve two fixed dates to perform in their home town.
The success of Norbert Rier and the other members of the band began in 1983 when they achieved a golden record with a title that translates as “The girl with the extinguished eyes”. In 1990 the Kastelruther Spatzen won the Grand Prix of Folk Music. Today, the group can look back on a hundred golden records and other music awards.

Tip: Book your tickets and accommodation early, as demand is incredibly high every year. Bookings can only be made in writing.
