Reinswald, Val Sarentino/Sarntal – Magic winterThe down-hill runs of the ski resort of Reinswald (1,570 – 2,460 metres) in the Sarntal Valley are known to be second to none. The new black Jochpiste (1,5 km and 400 metres of difference in altitude!), 5,2 km natural toboggan run, ski, snowboard, carving and sledge hire, ski school, igloo atmosphere, ski kindergarten, 14 ski tour suggestions, 24 km cross-country trail 'Pensertal' (Penser Valley), horse-sledge drives and races, snow shoe hiking trips, downhill runs under a full moon and/ or with torches, using skies and sledges – all deserve a quality award.
Pure enjoyment is also promised at the Plankenhorn piste. The piste is suitable for the European Cup and has great passes, where you could think you are on a roller coaster, if you take a corner with too much speed.
The crosscountry trail of 'Pensertal' in the back of the Sarntal Valley is full of surprises. You will pass unique farmhouses on the daily prepared trail, which is suitable for both types of cross-country skiing.
At the same time, the Sarntal Valley is ideal for a family holiday. The 5,2 km long natural toboggan run in the Reinswald ski resort provides pure sledging fun – and on weekends with full moon the toboggan run is also open at night.
