The "Kalterersee"- wine tasting

Every year all wine producers in Kaltern will come together to put the protagonist the "Kalterersee"-wine into the spot light. The most popular wine produced in Kaltern is a light and fresh red wine named after the lake itself: The "Kalterersee". This entire evening will be dedicated to the presentation of the vintage 2009.

Kaltern will be putting its white wines in the spotlight in an event called 'All in Withe'. All connosseurs and lovers of fine wine are invited to Kaltern's main market square for an evening of white wine tasting. Kaltern's white wines will be on stage and guests are warmly invited to join us in experiencing wine culture at its very best.

Gewürztraminer Wine street

The vineries of the 15 towns along the South Tyrolean Wine Road will present you their Gewürztraminer, a world famous white wine with home in Tramin. From 7.30 p.m. to midnight.

Magdalene parish church day

For many decades, the wine village of St. Magdalena has celebrated this parish church festival, when the wine farmers open their cellars and invite you to taste the 'classic St. Magdalena' red wine from the previous autumn. There are also culinary delicacies from the local cuisine on offer.

The Wine Days of Kaltern

The historical main village square is the setting for the 25th traditional Kaltern Wine Days. Local wine producers present their new vintages and offer wine tasting of some of their best wines.

Tramin Wine Lane

on 16th October 2010
From three o'clock in the afternoon till late at night the famous 'Tramin Wine Lane' will be scene of exciting adventures which, for a few hours at least, will take you far from your daily routine and offer you a special evening in the magnificent autumn. The best Traminer wines will be offered in cups made for this very occasion along with special South Tyrolean delicacies in an atmosphere of music and folklore.
