The idyllic mountain villages of Aldein and Radein are situated on the sunny Reggl Mountain, in the midst of meadows and mixed forests. The striking, most southern tip of the Dolomites, the mountain 'Weißhorn' can be seen from afar. The 700 metres deep Bletterbach Canyon between Aldein and Radein displays many coloured stone layers and gives insight into the Dolomites' unique structure.

Tradition and customs are still prominent in this region. Alpine cattle drives and other traditional festivities form still part of the annual farming life.
