Best of hiking - 'Best of Wandern'

In the South of Südtirol, a magic variety is present: you can hike up to between 200 and 3,000 metres of altitude, enjoy palm trees as much as Alpine pastures or get to know Alpine tradition and the Mediterranean easy way of life. The German magazine 'outdoor' awarded South Tyrol for the second year in a row the second-best hiking region in Italy.

With a further seven hiking destinations and five outdoor equipment suppliers, the area South of Südtirol is associated with the quality association 'Best of Hiking'. The international co-operation creates new standards in the hiking tourism industry as such and encourages people to get to know and enjoy hiking.

Test center for outdoor equipment

A 'Best of Hiking' guest profits from a unique service through which he can hire the most suitable shoes for demanding terrain, large trekking rack-sacks for long tours or telescopic carbon sticks.

In the test centre of Weger Schuhe in St. Pauls/ Eppan, products by Lowa, Vaude, Carl Zeiss, Fritz Berger and Euroschirm can be tested free of charge.
