South of Südtirol: our family-tips Holiday time is family time – and the holiday region South of Südtirol offers lots to do for families. A hole mountain for families The Ritten mountain is a sunny high plateau just above Bozen and the place, where the traditional 'summer holidays' were invented. The beautiful landscape, healthy air and a lot of games and fun ideas make the Ritten for all generations to a holiday-paradise. Under the name Family hotels arise on the Ritten selected hotels, pensions and vacation homes, which offer custom-made holidays components from the child-fair equipment of the rooms up to generous playrooms and own child menus. Under the command of Pyramix, the Ritten Family mascot, it starts approximately from May till November three times the week with a mega children's program. For more information please contact the Ritten tourist office. Lamas and blonds Fancy some trekking with lamas? It is possible at the Kaserhof on the Ritten mountain. Or do you prefer to be on tour with a blond? On the back of a soft, blond Haflinger hourse, riding lessons are particularly brilliant. Equestrian centres can be found in the equestrian village of Jenesien, in Mölten, in the Sarntal or on the Ritten mountain.
