The Lake Performances '09

Every year a new success. The Lake Performances in Kaltern are as usual unique and incomparable thanks to the romantic atmosphere and the stunning scenery.

'The Very Best Of Queen' by Merqury
on 28th July 2009
The first highlight in Kaltern this year will be a tribute show to the legendary band Queen. 'Merqury', the best Queen Cover Band in the world, will perform its show 'The Very Best Of Queen'. The five musicians will play Qeens’ best songs on the see stage and amaze with an incredible show, which comes really close to the original concerts by Freddie Mercury and band. Freddie Mercury is imitated by Johnny Zatylny, who is quite similar to the legendary front man of the band, thanks to his appearance, charisma and vocal tone.

Concert by Hubert von Goisern
on 4th August 2009
The second event is the concert by Hubert von Goisern, who will present his new album 'S'Nix' and play a few of his already popular older songs. The Austrian musician promises to entertain his fans and everyone who wants to attend a unique rock concert. Most of his songs belong to the music genre 'Neue Volksmusik', better known as the 'Alpenrock'. This genre refers to popular rock music, which contains elements and characteristics of traditional Austrian folk music.

Musical Evita
on 11th August 2009
Last but not least, the time is right for the musical Evita by Andrew Lloyd Webber. The plot tells the incredible life-story of the Argentinean First Lady Eva Perón. The orchestra totally dedicates itself to the creative masterpieces by Andrew Lloyd Webber and amazes with its performance of the well known song 'don't cry for me Argentina'. The performance of the ensemble is convincing because they sing powerful with loud and strong voices and dance in an energetic manner.
