BozenCastle Runkelstein – a picturesque place Castle Runkelstein is situated at the entrance to the Sarntal and is home to the oldest profane fresco cycle from the Middle Ages. In addition, they organise different exhibitions on a regular basis.

The Greifenstein ruins, Siebeneich The fortress was first mentioned in 1159. It was destroyed several times by fire or during battles and was always re-built. According to a legend, it received its second name – the 'Sauschloss' (pig’s castle). More than 180 fortresses, residences and castles bear witness to an interesting past in this region, famous for its castles in all of Europe.

It was built around 1250 by the Lords of Rottenburg, who were ordained as overseers of the court of Kaltern by the bishops of Trent. It can be reached from Kreith-Sattel via the hiking path number 13A.

Impressive location on a steep rock in dizzying heights. On their way towards the South (door to the South), the castle accommodated Melanchton and others. Can be visited via the new 'Visionenweg'. Castelfeder Auer: Castle Auer Probably built around 1400. Around 1600, Renaissance buildings were added. Previous office of the country’s sovereign (privately owned, cannot be visited).
Montan: Castle Enn Magnificent castle loated above Montan. Built around 1300. Completed renovated in 1880. Since 1650 it has been owned by the Earls of Albrizzi from Venice even up to present day. No guided tours. Only exemption: one evening in mid August, there is a music concert organised by the Montan music band.
Neumarkt: Ruins of Csatle Kaldiff In Mazon, just above Neumarkt. Built around 1200 from the aristocrats von Enn, owners of the Neumarkt court. SarntalCastle Rafenstein Antique castle ruins with snack station.
