The Sarn pine tree, locally called 'mountain blessing', is one of the oldest medical plants used in the Sarntal. Even the Celts used its healing powers. Today, the precious oils are obtained according to old recipes, whereby for every 1 kg of pure oil, 250 kg of pine needles are required.
